MD school board under fire for ignoring opponents of homosexuality

Regarding a story that I posted about last week, it appears that there is another threat for a lawsuit against the MD state school board.

A group that provides support for families and public awareness regarding the decision to leave homosexuality is accusing a Maryland school board of displaying bigotry and intolerance toward people who believe homosexuality is a dangerous lifestyle. Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays, or PFOX, is contemplating whether to file another lawsuit in a matter concerning that district's pro-homosexuality sex education program.

The Maryland State Board of Education has given its stamp of approval to a sex education program in Montgomery County schools that affirms homosexuality, transgenderism and teen condom use. The PFOX is threatening to file a lawsuit over the program, arguing the curriculum does not warn students of the health risks associated with homosexuality or inform them that people can leave the homosexual lifestyle.

PFOX executive director Regina Griggs says the Montgomery County Board of Education ignored 270 physicians who warned board members in a signed letter that homosexual sex was too dangerous to practice. "Patricia O'Neill, in a press release last week, said that she was glad that they were standing firm," Griggs explains; "and the reason she said 'Bring on your lawsuit' was because she was tired of dealing with bigots." O'Neill is a Montgomery County board member.

"In other words," continues Griggs, "if you are a physician who's concerned about the health and well-being of students, if you are a parent who holds a different viewpoint on homosexuality, or if you are an ex-gay, you have no voice. You're a bigot."

Remember, we're talking about YOUR children here. Are going to allow them to be taught that all deviant lifestyles are acceptable so as not to risk being called a bigot? Not only is homosexual activity deviant behavior and morally wrong, but it is physically dangerous and the consequences are life threatening.

Sticks & stones may break my bones...

I agree. I've been trying for years to get the schools in my area to give equal time to the notion that Jews are responsible for all of the wars in the world but would they listen to me?
