EVERETT, Wash. -- Everett police are investigating why a 4-year-old boy was locked inside a daycare after it closed Thursday evening.
When the boy's mother came to pick him up around 6:45 p.m. at Kindercare in South Everett, she told police the place was locked and no one was around.
When police responded to the daycare, the little boy appeared inside. He came to the door and started knocking from the inside.
The officer and little boy's mother instructed him to open the door and he was reunited with his mother.
No one cares for you children the way that you care for your children.
